Never swap a propane tank again

Every propane BBQ owner knows the moment: guests arriving, burgers half-done, and the flame dying because the tank chose tonight. A natural gas BBQ line ends that forever — your grill runs off the same supply as your furnace, with fuel that never runs out and costs less per cookout than propane exchange.

What the install includes

  • A licensed gas technician — BBQ lines are real gas work, permitted and inspected, not a handyman job
  • The run — typically from your basement gas line out the wall nearest the BBQ, sized correctly so the grill gets full pressure
  • A quick-disconnect fitting — unclip the BBQ to move or store it, no tools, gas sealed automatically
  • Conversion of your grill to natural gas with the manufacturer's kit, where your model supports it
  • Pressure testing and tagging — proof the whole run is tight, with paperwork for your records

What it's like

Most installs are done in half a day. We'll confirm your BBQ model is convertible before quoting (most are; some budget grills aren't, and we'll tell you before you spend a dollar). The price is upfront and includes the permit — no surprises when the inspector visits.

While we're out there

Gas fire tables, patio heaters, pizza ovens and pool heaters all love a natural gas line too — it's the same visit and often the same run. See gas appliance installation for the full list, and if you ever smell gas anywhere near any line, treat it as an emergency.

BBQ Lines questions

Can any BBQ run on natural gas?

Most can be converted with the manufacturer's kit, and many are sold natural-gas-ready. We'll confirm your model before quoting, and handle the conversion as part of the install.

Is a permit needed for a BBQ gas line?

Gas work must be done by a licensed technician and inspected — we take care of the paperwork and the pressure test. It's not a DIY or handyman job, legally or safely.

How much disruption does running the line cause?

Usually very little — most runs go through the basement and out the wall closest to the BBQ. A typical install is done in half a day.
